Breeding Genetics

Breakdown on how coat, white/tan markings and secondary markings are passed down.

(ignoring all breeding changing items)

Coat goes:

46.6666% chance to be mom's, 46.666% chance to be dad's, 6.66666% chance for a random coat.

Random coat chances:

65% chance of a common coat

20% chance of a rare coat

10% chance of a very rare coat

5% chance of an ultra rare coat

This is the same chance for eyes.

White markings:

93% chance of getting a random number between mom and dad's number (so if mom was white1, and dad was say white7, puppy could be anything between 1 and 7),

7% chance of getting a random white marking, with the chances going the same as selecting a random coat. (in terms of rarity)

Exactly the same setup for tan markings.

For secondary markings:

46.666% chance of mom's secondary

46.666% chance of dad's secondary

6.666% chance of random secondary

If random secondary:

50% chance of completely random (33.33% brown, 33.33% black, 33.33% white), and then rarity is determined on the same % chance as base rarity.

50% chance of no marking at all.

Opacity.

If the marking is inherited from a parent, it checks to see if the other parent has the same marking in a similar slot (aka if slot 1, then in slot 1 or 2). If they do, the opacity is the average between the two of them.

If not, they inherit the parent's opacity.

If it's a random marking, they get a completely random opacity.
