Shetland Sheepdog

 The Shetland Sheepdog was the 7th breed to be introduced to Alacrity. 

The Shetland Sheepdogs hails from the Shetland Islands.  To be used to herd sheep.

They are 13-16 inches, 15-25 pounds and has a 12-14 year life expectancy.

Shelties are very easy to train and are often seen in obedience, agility, and herding trials.

As with any herding breed they need to have exercise and stimulation.

Shelties also make great watchdogs. 

They do have a tendency to be barkers so they may not do well in an apartment.
