The Shiba Inu was the 12th breed to be introduced to Alacrity.

Shibas are a very old breed from Japan. They are the most popular breed in Japan and a fairly new breed in the United States.

They are 13-17 inches, 17-23 pounds and have a life expectancy of 13-16 years.

Shibas are the smallest of the Japanese breeds and were used for hunting.

During World War II the Shiba Inu almost went extinct.

Shibas tend to shed a lot.

They require a fair amount of exercise and can be a little hard to train.
