How do I buy a dog?
There are a few places to buy a dog.
1. Life>Pound sometimes there are dogs in the pound that need new homes. These dogs are always spayed or neutered.
2. Life>Search Here you can find dogs users are selling.The middle section is for dogs. Just fill in and click Search.
3. Earthly Goods>Foundation Auctions These are good starter dogs as they have lower tp and are easily maxed. The breeds change so keep checking back if you don't see the breed you want.
4. Earthly Goods> Auctions Here you can find dogs users are auctioning.
What is a dog slot?
A dog slot is the spot in your kennel for your dogs.
Dogs under 2 months share a dog slot. Once dogs turn 2 months of age they require their own slot.
To get more dogs slots you have to buy them. You can buy 15 dogs slots for alacash. Then you must pay bones.
Kennels do NOT add more dog slots they are for organizing your dogs only.
If you have more dogs then slots they will runaway and you will have to 2 weeks to reclaim them from the pound.
What should I know to breed my dogs?
First thing to know is you can not cross breed dogs so you need two dogs of the same breed.
Female must be 12 months or older and in heat to breed. Have atleast 70 Mood and Health and 75 Energy.
Males must be at least 8 months old. Have atleast 70 Mood and Health and 50 Energy.
It is also best to fully train your dogs before breeding. If not the pups will be born with low TP (total potential)
You can also go to Life>Search if you want to look for dogs up for stud to breed too. It is best to check the owners profile page to see if they have been active recently before sending stud requests. You can also find female for lease the same way. Once the owner of the female accepts there will be a note on the dogs page saying this female is leased to and the pups will come to you when they are born.
Basic accounts get 2 breeding per month. They do stack if you don't use them. Upgraded accounts get unlimited breeding.
Breeding items such as Heat Cookie and Chocolate Bunny that bring a female into heat do NOT work on underage females.
Also be careful when using a Chocolate Bunny. Say you give your dog a bunny at 6:25 PM you will only have 5 minutes to breed her. If you give at 6:00 PM you will have 30 minutes.
How do I feed/play with/groom my dog?
To Feed/Play with or Groom your dog you need to have food, toys or grooming items.
Earthly Good>Main Stores> Gnashers has food.
Earthly Good>Main Stores>T'riffic Toys has toys.
Earthly Good>Main Stores>Squeeky Cleen ha grooming items.
Once you have you items you go to Earthly Goods>Inventory. Pick the item you want and then pick the dogs name from the drop down menu. If the dog you want to feed, play with or groom is not on the list they do not need whatever you are trying to do.
How do I raise it's mood/happiness/health?
health: feeding, grooming, vaccinations, and they refill at 12:00am server time. I reccommend Anchor Cookie for health it give +20 Health.
mood/happiness: toys, grooming, breeding.
energy: grooming, feeding, and they refill at 12:00am server time. Revitalizer is a good item that gets your dog's energy back to 100%
Fish Oil is another good item for Mood/Energy/Health. Can be given to a dog three times.
How do I train my dog?
To Train your dog go to the dogs page and click on trials at the top.
Skill (completed: 0%)
Basic Training: 0.00%
Click on the 0.00% and keep training until you get Basic Training to 100%. A Scholar Collar will double the effectiveness of your training.
Scholar Collar can be purchased at Earthly Goods>Main Stores>Cash Boutique for $400,000
Once your Basic Training is completely you will see this:

Uh oh! My dog got injured!
If you get a message saying your dog has injured you can click on the dog's name in the message and it will take you to the dog's page. At the top click on the actions drop down menu.
You will see:
then a button that says Take Dog To Vet.
Click it and your dog will be on it's way to recovering.
It is also helpful to check through all your dogs occasionally as sometime you don't get a accident message.
Do I need to take my dog to the vet?
The only things you really do that are vet involved are treating accidents, vaccinating your dogs, cropping ear or docking tails or if you wish to have your dog spayed or neutered. All of which you can do at the top of a dog's page under Actions.
What will happen to my dogs when I am away? Is there a vacation mode I can set?
Your dogs will not age if you do not sign on. So they will not get sick or hungry or die as long as you don't sign on to your account. Your dog only ages from the time you sign on until rollover into the next day.
Why should I upgrade my account? / Do I HAVE to upgrade to play?
You do not have to have an upgraded account to play. Ala is free to play.
