When creating a new Auction for Auction Time select the AuctionTime check box as the Auction Type.
Underneath the Auction Type will be several Auction Information fields.
- Auction Code: This is an optional code that you can associate with this auction for your own purposes.
- Name: This is the name of the auction that will display to your bidders.
- Description: This is a description of the type of auction this will be (personal property, vehicle, real estate, etc.)
- Tax Exempt All: Checking this box means that the entire auction's lots will be exempt from tax.
- Address, City, State, Zip, Country: These fields are used to enter the location of either your auction house OR the location that the auction will be held in the event your auction is on site.
- Use Consolidated Seller/Salesperson/Buyer Settlements: This checkbox refers to participants in your auction that will be buyers and sellers. If this box is checked then a Seller who also makes purchases in this auction will have their sales and purchases on one Settlement form at the end of the auction. If this box is not checked then there will be one settlement for their sales and another settlement for their purchases.
The New Lot Defaults section is where you will set percentages applied both to the consignor and the buyers. The fields listed will be:
- Commission: The percentage you are obtaining as your cut from the consignor.
- Buyer Tax: The amount of sales tax applied to the bidders.
- Buyer Premium: The percentage you are obtaining as a cut from the buyer.
- Seller Tax: The amount of tax applied to the consignor.
- Location: The location field is used when pushing information to Auction Time. This will state where the items are. Lots cataloged under this auction will default to the location you set on this screen. You can edit each lot individually to have it's own unique Location also. Further information on this can be found in the Locations section.
The Auction Time Details section will contain two fields.
- Bid Currency: This allows you to choose the currency your items will be posted in.
- Notification Email: This field is where you will enter the email address that you wish to receive notifications on. This email is what Auction Time uses to contact you.
When finished with all of your settings click the Save button in the bottom left corner of the screen.
