When you first enter the Check In section of the software you will see an empty grid.
To check a new bidder into the selected auction click the Bidder Check-In button in the top right corner. Clicking this will display the following window.
If the bidder you are checking in has already participated in an auction of yours in the past, you can search for their existing account by entering their information into the fields provided and clicking the Search button.
Filling in just one field will generate all matching records based on the information you enter. For example if you only enter the word "John" into the First Name field, every customer with the first name John will appear as possible matches. You can then scroll through the possibilities until you find the correct John and check them in.
Once you find the correct bidder in your list of possible results, click the Check-In button next to their name.
If the customer needs to update their information such as provide a new address, click the Pencil button next to their name instead.
Clicking this button will display the customer's record. This allows you to make changes to the customer's account without navigating away from the check in screen.
Clicking the Check-In button will direct you to the following window.
This allows you to choose if you want the system to Auto-Assign the next available bid card number to this bidder OR Manually assign a bid card number to this bidder.
There is also a Hear About Us drop down menu allowing you to state how the bidder found your auction. Using this Hear About Us feature you can learn which areas of your marketing are benefiting you.
Once the bidder is checked in you will be directed back to the window labeled, "Find Existing Bidder or Add New Bidder" so that you can continue checking in more bidders. If at any point you wish to view the list of bidders already checked in simply click the Cancel button in the bottom right corner of the window. This will direct you back to the original Check In screen with a display of all your currently checked in bidders.
If you notice that a bidder's information is incorrect or they were given the wrong bid card number, you can edit this information by clicking the pencil button to the left of their name.
Clicking the pencil will display the following window where you can make quick edits to their bid card number of Hear About Us status.
If you need to edit their personal account information click the large Edit button to the right.
Once the information has been changed, click Save to move on. Cancel any time by clicking the Cancel button.
If you notice that you checked in the wrong bidder, click the red X button to the right of their name.
Clicking the Gear button in the top right corner allows you to modify the display of your bidder information on the check in screen.
You can use the Search Bar above the list of bidders to find a specific bidder who is checked into this auction. To clear the search click the green Clear Search button.
Underneath the list of bidders you will find the Show X number of Entries per page.
You can change this to show 10, 25, 50, 100, 500, 1,000, or All entries on one page at a time.
