2. Email and write to your City Council member, San Diego Planning Department, State Senator and Assembly person - and express your concerns. Make sure everyone in your group does the same. Keep copies and resend every couple weeks if you do not get an answer. Mark it on your calendar so you do not forget.
Examples, - feared loss in property value, overburdening the city’s infrastructure, complicating the parking issues on your street and/or neighborhood etc.
3. FIND REPRESENTATIVES - Neighbors For A Better San Diego has a great page on their website to quickly find all this information for who your City Council and State Assembly members are for your area.
www.NeighborsForABetterSanDiego.org
Click on “Menu"
Click on “Contact Representative”
While on their site please take time to Sign Up for their email list AND if you can please give a donation to them. They are all volunteers like us but they are fighting for ALL OF US in our City.
4. Start a Neighborhood Group - "How To Start A Group"
5. Create signs and/or banners about the ADU situation and ask permission to post around the neighborhood.
GOPRINT has some good pricing on banners and yard signs.
If you know of better pricing please email us
6. NEVER TRESPASS
You can certainly take pictures from a public sidewalk of what it looks like BEFORE the construction and we highly recommend you do that. DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT, DOCUMENT.
