According to the syllabus given by BPSC, 35 (35) questions of marks will be asked from English Language & Literature subject. Among them, 20 (20) questions of marks will be asked from English Language Part and 15 (15) questions of marks will be asked from English Literature Pan. In the light of the given instructions, the English syllabus has been divided into two parts and discussed. Therefore, in this part, the type of previous year questions of 20 marks of English Language Part and brief guidelines have been given.
Section-A: 'Parts of Speech' topics have been asked the most in the past exams. Especially, more questions have been asked from Identification of parts of speech. Also, questions are asked from topics like Classification of Noun, Number, Gender, Determiner, Classification of Pronoun, Classification of Verb, Modals, Participles, Gerund, Phrasal Verb, Conjunction, Appropriate Preposition.
