Observational Data:
Observational Data:
The students were animated and engaged. There was lots of laughter and fun. I learned how to say the learning habits in Maori from a student.
Comparing the data with the data from my Masters in 2015.
- The intervention was with students who already love mathematics.
- This data is from a year 9 class which has trouble keeping on task.
- The "Z-rating" is not so relevant because their mathematics class is far from normal.
- This data suggests I am on the right track in my pursuit of productive play based learning.
Interesting:
- The level of challenge is low, but the engagement is high.
Question:
- Do we make math too hard, and undermine students confidence.
Can I induce flow? No, but I can make space for it.

Very fun way to learn and we all active in learning compared to stationary math when people get bored.
