Mark Pew, Senior Vice President, Product Development & Marketing for The Preferred Medical and The RxProfessor, is a passionate educator and agitator. He has more than 35 years of experience in the property and casualty, healthcare and technology industries. He created PRIUM’s Medical Intervention Program in 2003, Intervention Triage in 2010, Texas Drug Formulary turnkey solution in 2011, Centers with Standards in 2012, and TaperRx in 2014.
Mark is a popular speaker at workers’ compensation and healthcare conferences around the country as well as individual continuing education venues. From March 2012 thru December 2017, Mark presented educational content 470 times to 36,974 people in 41 states + DC, including 20 national webinars.

Mark serves on the Medical Issues Committee of the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC), the Workers’ Compensation Committee for the Self-Insurance Institute of America (SIIA), and the Pharmacy Group for CompSense in California (chairman) and New York. In addition, he serves as a technical advisor to multiple jurisdictions (regulators and legislators) on subjects such as drug formularies, treatment guidelines, Opioid Task Force initiatives, encouraging support of non-pharma treatment options and the medicinal use of cannabis.
