Once Upon a Wintertime

Located directly in the center of the Holiday Village, the Once Upon a Wintertime attraction is a spinning whip ride in the same stlye of Alien Swirling Saucers at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This attraction is based on the Once Upon a Wintertime segment of the Disney Package film Melody Time. Guests can board a chariot pulled by two "horses" as they slip and slide along the spinning platform colored to appear like ice.

The song "Once Upon a Wintertime" plays as guest make their rounds around the icy pond, spinning and swirling as if they are gliding over the ice. As they pass, the views of the Holiday Village appear incredibly, giving great looks at the showbuilding for Scrooge's Christmas Adventure, as well as Fezziwig's Tavern and the shops and other facades around the village.

Like other whip-spinners, this attraction lasts around 3 minutes (including load and unload time) and can fit up to 3 individual guests per vehicle. with about 20 different vehicles to ride in, giving the attraction a capacity of just under 900 people an hour. While not a big E-ticket or a classic C-ticket Dark Ride, Once Upon a Wintertime is a fun and thematic experience to add to the Holiday Village.
