Princess Plaza

Written by @Outbound

Welcome one and all to Princess Plaza, the largest meet and greet in Seasons of Fantasy. Here, you will meet the many popular princesses and royalty not properly represented in the rest of the land. Princesses Present include: Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Tiana, Merida, Mulan, and Moana. In addition to these designated princesses, others may appear by surprise every once in a while.

Princess Plaza is outdoors, set within a tranquil garden near Snow White's Castle. Yet beyond the pretty shrubbery are walls, either of other attractions or backstage, that enclose the area from the rest of the park. In the event of rain, a glass ceiling will emerge from the backstage to shield guests and keep the Plaza operating.

Each character is set in a regal gazebo, blocking guest's first views until later on the line.

The Many Sirs and Hers

But that's not all. Princess Plaza is all about immersion, and that means even the cast members on site are dressed for the occasion.

Assisting the various Princesses at the Plaza are Sir Suire (it's French) and his Band of Many Sirs and Hers. Cast members dress in Knightly Armor, able to see their surroundings thanks to the helmets, but also keeping with the theme. The Knights are silent but expressive: on especially busy days with hour-long waits, they will come to the middle of the lines and preform amusing magic tricks or rock-paper-scissors with the children on line.

At the entry to Princess Plaza -- just off the main Courtyard -- is Sir Suire himself, an impressive animatronic with the same role as Mr. Potato Head in front of Toy Story Mania in DCA. Although he insists on emphasizing the spelling, in English it always sounds like "Sir Sir". That's a pretty accurate name though, given Sir Sir is quite... fanatical about his job.

Going on random tangents about "honor" and "duty", Sir Sir invites guests to come inside, and will routinely list the current princesses in the pavilion. In one hand Sir Sir holds a sword, not for combat, but for waving around randomly, and in the other he holds a bottle, which he will randomly put to his helmet before awkwardly realizing he can't drink with a helmet on. But of course, to take off one's helmet and slack on the job is to lose thou honor, so he will have to deal with thirst for the time being.

During the Mighty Mjolnir's lifting, Sir Sir will shout loudly, "Thou believe in yee!!!" and wave his sword enthusiastically.
