The Silence Dogood Public Library

The West Side Entrance to the Park replaces the traditional Train Station entrance with a Library for guests to walk under. This building isn't just for show though! On the street level, guests can rent strollers and wheelchairs. Or they can take the elevators or stairs up to the Silence Dogood Public Library.

The library get's it's name from Benjamin Franklin's secret pen-name, Silence Dogood. This stretches across the second floor of the entrance. It isn't huge, but there is a good selection of books available. A mix of classics in the public domain and books distributed by Disney Publishing Worldwide. Guests can borrow these for their day in the park (with a credit card or cash deposit in case of theft or damage). They even come with a plastic sleeve to protect them from weather and water rides. Most books guests also have the option to buy if they'd like to keep them.

Connected to the library and just above the Two Roads Cafe is the Ghost Writer's Storytime Nook. This serves as a new take on the Cinema from the classic Main Street. An air conditioned room guests and families can rest and get out of the heat.

Instead of watching old cartoon shorts, guests can hear classic short stories, fairy tales, and poems read aloud by the ghosts of the original authors. This is achieved using a simple Pepper's Ghost Projection effect allowing Mark Twain, Edgar Allen Poe, the Brother's Grimm and many more read to guests of all ages throughout the day. Perfectly tying into the supernatural vibe of this side of Harbortown USA and setting the tone for guests for a day of living out their own story!

The Beacon Emporium

The Beacon Emporium is the biggest shop in Harbortown USA. Anything a Disney fanatic could want to buy, it's here. The store has four sections - one dedicated to clothing, one dedicated to toys, one dedicated to houseware, and one dedicated to everything else (books, cameras, pens, magnets, etc.). However, the façade just looks like a small general store, not unlike one you'd actually find in Beacon Hill... perfectly masking the sprawling gift shop inside!

Sally's Seasonal Sweets and Souvenirs

They're always celebrating something at this combination gift shop and confectionary. No matter what time of the year it is, you'll find decorations, apparel, gifts, and treats perfect for whatever holiday is just around the corner. In October, the shelves are stocked with jack-o-lanterns and Nightmare Before Christmas merchandise, with cookies in Jack Skellington's likeness and pumpkin spice cupcakes available for snacking on. When December arrives, Christmas ornaments and plushes of Mickey dressed as Santa Claus are among the merchandise that guests can choose from while sipping hot chocolate or munching on gingerbread cookies. And once Easter comes around, stuffed bunnies and jelly bean-covered cupcakes are the main draw. Just five seconds inside Seasonal Sweets and Souvenirs will be enough to put anyone in the holiday mood!

Tri-Corner Chapeau

No entrance land is complete without a store dedicated to Mickey Ears and other fantastic hats and headwear. The floorplan for the shop is shaped like a triangle, inspired by Tricorne Hats which were a very popular look back during the Revolutionary War and have historical significance to the Boston area. The store is themed to an old hatmaker's shop with the walls being filled with fabric, leather, needles, thread, and old timey tools of the trade. Beyond just buying new hats, guests can take their Mickey Ears here to have them embroidered!

Cat's Eye Trinkets & Treasures

Located at the exit for The Haunted Lighthouse, Cat's Eye Trinkets & Treasures sells a variety of wares from cursed treasure, to Lighthouse souvenirs, to nautical necessities. The shop is shaped like a glass bottle (with guests entering off the ride from the mouth of the bottle) tinged with the scent of sea and storm. The walls are lined with weathered ropes and nets, seaweed and barnacles, as well as pieces of the cursed treasure that Captain Eli lost everything to find. Some say if you listen closely past the sounds of the storm and foghorn you can still hear Captain Eli's voice cry out that lost treasure always comes wit a curse.

Salem's Spells and Supplies

Salem's Spells and Supplies is the best place in the park for Magic Bands, Pins, Funko Pops, and any tech wizardry needed for a day in the Park. With one wall dedicated entirely to pins new and experienced pin traders alike will be under a spell from all the new and mystery pins. It also boasts the biggest pin trading board in the park. Magic bands take up quite a bit of space as well including design-your-own stations and magical cast members to help with any issues getting them set up. Finally Funko Pops are tucked in next to a wide supply of portable chargers, camera accessories, phone cords and photopass pickup. Deceptively bigger on the inside this shop is sure to charm any guest that walks through its doors.
