SNow White Castle Tour

Written by @Mickeynerd17

The tour of the castle starts in the main hall, which is a dazzling space made with spruce and ornamented with dazzling diamonds from the Seven Dwarfs Mine. Each wall holds a fresco depicting scenes from the classic fairy tale. This space is both the entrance and the exit to the tour, and is accessible both from Port Voyage and Seasons of Fantasy. The tour is both a tour of what a real castle would contain while also showcasing elements from the movie.

The first stop along the tour is the library. Here we find beautiful ornate bookcases with a large selection of literature. Plush sofas, chairs, and rugs are laid around the room with a grand marble lectern holding the book from the beginning of the Snow White film turned to the first page.

The hallway transitions to a cave as we make our way out into the open air where the wishing well is located while light-hearted background music is played. Guests may recognize this well as the one Snow White was singing to when thinking about the Prince. Guests may cast a coin into the well, and the money collected from the well goes to charity organizations around the world.

The path leads to another cave, which transitions to a room with a darker tone to it. Eve the music reflects this, modulating to a more sinister key signature. Here guests find the infamous Magic Mirror, still smoking to this day. Since this mirror and the room in general is no longer in use, most of the furniture is dusty, cobwebs are everywhere, and everything is in a general state of disrepair.

Immediately following the mirror room, guests enter the Forest Tower and proceed to ascend it's spiral staircase. The music keeps it's dark, ominous sound as tapestries of Snow White's escape from the castle into the dark forest hang on the walls. Guests keep climbing the creaky wood steps as they make their way to the top.

After climbing the castle, guests come out onto a bridge as they go from the Forest Tower to the

Cottage Tower. Due to its height above the castle, it provides some of the best views in the entire park, making it a popular photo op. The railing are designed specifically to offer unobstructed views while preventing children and selfie artists from falling off to their death.

From the bridge, guests descend part of the Cottage Tower, named affectionately after the home of the Seven Dwarfs. The music becomes more upbeat as a harmonized version of High Ho! plays in the background. The tower is covered in beautiful tapestries depicting the inside and outside of the Cottage.

After leaving the Cottage Tower, guests enter the guest room, which includes seven beds uniquely designed and colored for each dwarf for whenever they would like to visit the castle.

This room is followed by the throne room. The music becomes very much regal in style as guests gaze on the magnificent thrones of Snow White and her Prince Charming. Each throne is made of 14 carat gold inlaid with large diamonds as a gift to the new couple from the dwarfs.

We quickly transition to a cave, where we descend stone steps into the underground sewer. Smell machines pump in the smell of fresh sewage while we see a muddy river flow next to us. As we approach a doorway, we see a boat dock with a small wooden raft. This dock was used by the queen to depart the castle in search of Snow White.

Following the dock, we come upon the laboratory of the Witch. The music becomes sinister once again as old bottles and a big black cauldron sit in the center. Occasionally the cauldron will erupt with smoke. Guests quickly climb some stairs and enter back into the Great Hall.
