Our program is based at the UWC Thailand Outdoor Education Centre, which offers beachfront access and perfect conditions for year-round sailing for sailors of all abilities. We offer a range of sailing programs six days a week, including learn to sail, learn to race, sunset cruising, and high-performance team training in the Gold squad. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced sailor, our program has something for everyone, and our experienced coaches and top-of-the-line equipment ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

The UWC Thailand 'Learn to Sail' program offers a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of sailing and learn the fundamental skills needed to confidently helm and crew a small dinghy craft. With experienced instructors and top-notch equipment, we provide a safe and fun learning environment for sailors of all ages and abilities.

Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced sailor looking to hone your skills, our program offers something for everyone. Our comprehensive curriculum covers everything from basic boat handling and safety to introductory racing tactics.

But sailing isn't just about technical skills - it's also about teamwork, communication, and having fun out on the water. Our program is designed to foster these important skills and to create a supportive community of sailors who share a passion for the sport.

Designed for sailors who already have a solid foundation in basic sailing techniques, our program focuses on the advanced skills and tactics needed to compete in dinghy racing. In a supportive yet competitive learning environment, sailors of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take their sailing to the ‘next level’.

Our program covers a wide range of racing skills, including sail trim, boat speed optimization, starting strategies, tactical decision-making, and mark-rounding techniques. 

We also offer plenty of opportunities to put your skills to the test in real racing situations, both in practice races and in local and regional regattas.

The UWC Thailand Sailing Program is proud to offer a high-performance Gold Squad sailing team for those who want to take their skills forward. Our Gold Squad is a competitive team that focuses on advanced racing techniques and tactics, it is open to sailors of all ages and abilities who have a strong foundation in fundamental sailing skills. 

With former national team coaches our Gold Squad provides a rigorous training program for sailors who are serious about racing, competition is a must in the inclusion of this team and squad members will compete at both national and international events.

The UWC Thailand Sunset Sailing Afterschool program is a hands-on experiential learning opportunity designed for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students. 

Students have the opportunity to learn how to sail 25ft Platu Keel-boats. This involves learning the basic principles of sailing such as navigation, wind direction, and sail trimming. 

The program takes place during the sunset hours, providing a unique and beautiful backdrop for the sailing experience. The serene atmosphere of the sunset sailing session allows students to unwind after a long day of school work and engage in a relaxing yet enriching activity.

The program provides an excellent opportunity for Grade 11 and Grade 12 students to engage in a unique outdoor learning experience, acquire new skills, and develop valuable life skills that will serve them well in the future.
