During the Winter Olympics the Utica Curling Club will again hold an Olympic Open House by opening its doors to the community and offering our facility, personalized instruction and all necessary equipment to individuals who are interested in learning how to curl. No experience is necessary.
There will be food, entertainment, and 30 minutes of ice time, all for $20 per person. Because no outside shoes are allowed on the ice participants will need to bring a clean pair of athletic shoes and it is highly recommended that individuals wear warm, loose fitting, or flexible clothing.
As an extension of the Open House the Utica Curling club will offer a three week Olympic Curling School on Sundays, March 6, 13, & 20 , 1-3 pm. The school will provide more in-depth instruction regarding delivery, sweeping, strategy, rules of play and etiquette. The cost will be $100 per person, applicable toward 2022-2023 membership dues.
Pre-registration and payment is required for participation. Please register for one the of the following 2-hour blocks. Plan to arrive at the club at beginning of your time block. Each 2-hour block includes time for orientation, 30 minutes of on-ice instruction, snacks and entertainment.
