Steps

  1. Remove old showerhead

  • May need to use a non-marring strap wrench as a backup so you don't spin the shower arm.

  • Ensure the arm is in good enough shape to support the new head.

2. Clean thread and apply tape or compound

  • All old shower head must be disposed of.

  • Old shower heads are not allowed to remain with client.

3. Install new showerhead

  • New shower heads will be 2.5 GPH or less.

  • Clean threads and apply new thread tape or thread compound and install the new shower head.

  • Be sure not to overtighten and crush the rubber washer.

4. Test

  • Turn on shower and make sure it functions properly and does not leak around the threads.

5. Client Ed

  • Provide Client Ed with maintenance and cleaning instructions.
