Reading Informational Text (On-going; See 1st Nine Weeks)

are emphasized in each account.

•RI 9.3 – Analyze how author unfolds an analysis or series of ideas or events including order pts are

made, how introduced /developed, & connections drawn between them

Writing

•W 9.3 – Write narratives to develop real or imagined experiences or events using effective

technique, well-chosen details, and well-structured event sequences.

a. Engage and orient the reader by setting out a problem, situation, observation; establish 1

or more pts of view; introduce narrator / characters; create smooth progression of

experiences / events

b. Use narrative techniques (dialogue, pacing, description, reflection) & multiple plot lines to

develop experiences, events / characters.
