On January 30, 2026, the University Research Center successfully conducted a Research Writeshop at the EA Building, Room EN218. The activity gathered representatives from various student, academic, and non-teaching units. Building on the initial session held in the previous semester, this writeshop focused on further developing participants’ research manuscripts, with particular emphasis on strengthening the Results and Discussion sections.
The session was facilitated by Dr. Jake M. Laguador, EDD, PhD, who delivered a lecture entitled “Master the Art of Writing the Results and Discussion.” His presentation provided participants with a structured framework for effectively organizing and articulating their results and discussion, ensuring clarity, coherence, and greater impact in their research writing.
A question-and-answer segment followed the lecture, allowing participants to share insights, ask questions, and reflect on their research writing experiences. This interactive exchange fostered a supportive learning environment where both novice and experienced researchers could learn from one another’s challenges and successes.
The remainder of the day was devoted to a focused writing session, during which participants worked on their drafts. Dr. Jake M. Laguador, EDD, PhD, provided on-site guidance, offering feedback and addressing participants’ questions. The collaborative atmosphere encouraged participants to seek insights not only from the facilitator but also from their peers, further enriching the overall learning experience.
Overall, Research Writeshop Part 2 proved to be a valuable opportunity for faculty and students to refine their research papers and enhance their academic writing skills. Through a structured yet flexible platform for learning and collaboration, and with the guidance of Dr. Jake M. Laguador in coordination with the University Research Center, the initiative continues to empower the university community to produce high-quality research that contributes meaningfully to their respective fields.
