LOCK-DOWN / LOCK-OUT
Lock-Down
Lock-downs require staff to seek shelter where they are. Response is focused on personally securing oneself within an interior space, minimizing light and noise, lock doors, and based on the threat barricade doors. Wait for the “all clear” to be given before leaving the area
Lock-Out
In the event of a geographic area “shelter-in-place” warning communicated through mass communication channels (such as cellphones), the MIDB will immediately lock-out all public entrance doors until the shelter-in-place warning is lifted. Internal building operations may continue. Each operating unit is responsible for communicating to patients and guests
Basic Actions

• Dim lights. Stand away from
windows
