The MIDB is open to the public form 7:00am - 6:30pm. Hours outside of that window will require UCard access.


Card Reader Problems


If you encounter a card reader that is not working, please inform the front desk. If the front desk is not staffed at that time or if it is after hours, please contact the RFSS emergency number at 763-760-4794.



Lost Keys? 

Report any lost keys to the MIDB Welcome Desk. RFSS will order a new key; please be sure to provide an EFS chart string or pay $15 in cash for the replacement.

Wellness Rooms

The MIDB has 4 wellness rooms available on a first come first serve basis. These spaces are single use, private and are a suitable space for use as a Mother's Room.

Showers and Lockers

There are two separate shower/restrooms available for use by building occupants, located on the first floor. Lockers are available for use by building occupants and are located next to the showers.

1-Button Recording Studio

There is a small video production space located on the first floor of MIDB (1-341), operated and managed by the ICI Communications Team. The studio is a fully automated recording space that includes a camera, microphone, lighting, and backdrop set-up, and is configured to make a video at the press of a button.  Reserve the Studio here.

Submit a MIDB Operations request to elevate issues to Masonic Institute Leadership. Institute Leadership will review and address Operations-related questions, concerns, comments, recommendations, and Institute policy & procedure inquiries.

If you are in need of additional office space or workstations, or would like to reallocate your current space, please work directly with your administrative or unit leader to complete this space request form. Only requests from administrative or unit leaders will be considered.

Use this form to request MIDB-approved furniture such as coat racks, filing cabinets, slender closets etc., or to request removal of items by donating furniture for internal repurposing.

MIDB Operations will work with you to satisfy your furniture needs while maintaining the unique aesthetic of the Institute. Based on available quantities and the specific details of each request, your department may be billed. Items may be available on-site, through the U Market, or require a quote from interior designers used by MIDB.

Mailroom

The MIDB mailroom is located on the 1st floor in suite 1-339.  RFSS will receive and distribute mail to the correct unit mailbox. It is up to each individual unit to distribute to their faculty and staff.

Fedex and UPS 

Incoming deliveries from Fedex and UPS will be placed in the mailroom on the designated cart.

Outgoing packages should be properly labels and left at the Welcome Desk.

ReUse Center Drop Off/Pick Up

The UMN ReUse Center offers pick up service at the MIDB. If you have items you'd like to be sent to ReUse, bring your items down to the loading dock area. Please ensure the item is labeled " ReUse". If the items are small, please leave them in the recycling room located just inside the loading dock door. For larger items, such as desks, please place them outside on the loading dock.

Printers

There are 8 printers located throughout the  MIDB. To install a printer onto a Windows computer follow these instructions  from IT. If you need to install a printer on a Mac, please contact the IT Helpdesk at 612-301-HELP.
