Purpose
Compete LA Academy is a program that was created specifically for Louisianans that have some college credit, and need to re-start or complete their degree. There are 9 partners (universities) that offer online degree programs, and other convenient class structures that make up Compete LA. This is a fully online program offering lower-division courses needed for a degree that can be completed at a dramatically lower cost, and accelerated pace. Students will take courses recommended by their Compete LA Coach that fit into their intended program of study.
Compete LA students take recommended Academy courses as part of the process of returning to their degree program offered at their Compete LA destination school. Academy courses provide a foundation for success throughout their program. Custom course lists have been created for each of the nine partner Compete LA universities. Students will select their school to see the courses their Coach has recommended.
