Course/ Credit Transferability

Non-Partner Credit Transfer Process

If the lead's school is not a partner of SL you will need to do the following:

• 1. Check ACE University & Colleges list to see if the school accepts ACE credits

  2. If listed on ACE website, assure lead of our recommendation by ACE and proceed to identifying course needed for transfer. There is a really good chance the school will accept SL courses for credit transfer.

  3. If not listed on ACE, check the Transcript Sent by Destination sheet or Non-Partner School Transfer list to see if SL has sent a significant amount of transcripts to the school before.

  4. If listed on Transcript sheet with 15+ transcripts sent to the school in the last 2 years then there is a good chance the school is familiar with SL and likely accepts some SL courses for credit transfer.

  5. Identify course(s) that lead needs for credit transfer and provide the syllabus and ACE course number by email template, Non-Partner Lead Email with Course Syllabus

  6. Discuss with lead how they will explain to their school advisor or registrar about taking StraighterLine courses which have been reviewed and recommended for credit by ACE Credit, and need an approval for transfer of credits.

  7. The college advisor or registrar will verify whether or not StraighterLine course(s) will be accepted for transfer of credit.

  8. After confirmation help enroll lead into StraighterLine course(s).
