Purpose:

Cardinal Bridge is an innovative educational platform, in cooperation with StraighterLine, that provides students online general education courses designed to help students make progress towards their degree and will earn credit at University of the Incarnate Word (UIW).

Cost: $250 per month

Pathways:

Return to UIW - (Stopouts) students who have not been enrolled in UIW in the past 4 terms nor registered for future terms; who are eligible to return to UIW, based on financial, academic, behavioral, or other holds or flags within UIW’s system - Launch Date: mid-July 2022

Gen Ed - (At-Risk) current students, typically first year of college who have failed or withdrew from required courses and could be at-risk - this list may include athletes who need additional credit hours for athletic eligibility. - Launch Date: mid-August 2022

Pre-Nursing - (Pre-Enrollment & Academic At-Risk) traditional college students (some transfers) who may be an admission at-risk case, these are typically first year students or interested in enrolling in the nursing program but may need some additional college credit for admission. - Launch Date: TBD
