Abstract:
The article examines the phenomenon of acoustic self-monitoring as a fundamental factor in the professional stability of a vocal artist. The study reveals the mechanisms of interaction between inner hearing, vibro-receptor control, and vocal anticipation in unfavorable acoustic environments, such as halls with weak sound conductivity («dry» acoustics). The author substantiates the role of conscious management of the oropharyngeal volume and resonator tuning in preserving the high singer’s formant and preventing vocal forcing.
The methodological basis of the study includes the analysis of physiological aspects of bone and air conduction of sound, as well as the integration of kinesthetic and auditory sensations. The scientific novelty lies in the detailed definition of self-monitoring specifics for various voice types (soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, baritone, bass), emphasizing the prevention of artificial timbre darkening in middle-range voices.
A complex of pedagogical methods is proposed, including «acoustic isolation», «dynamic correction», and «verbalization of sensations», aimed at forming an objective internal acoustic standard. The research proves that relying on internal physiological markers rather than external acoustic feedback (external echo) ensures emotional stability and timbre integrity. The results confirm that the development of self-monitoring skills is an essential part of professional vocal training, providing the performer with creative autonomy and ensuring the long-term preservation of vocal health.
The formation of an objective internal standard allows the vocalist to avoid forcing the sound in conditions of weak acoustic conductivity. Conscious control of the oropharynx volume and resonator tuning is the key to maintaining a high singing formant, which ensures flight and stability of the timbre. The development of self-monitoring skills should be an integral part of professional training, as it ensures the vocalist's performing autonomy and contributes to the preservation of his professional health.
