The article analyzes the implementation of a holistic approach in the vocal training of students of a higher art school. The difference between simple technical voice training and holistic development planning is shown. If the first is reduced to practicing exercises, then holistic design is a flexible process that takes into account the individual characteristics of the student: his physiology, emotional state and creative experience.
The definition of the teacher’s activity is proposed as integrative work aimed at creating a learning strategy that helps to transform the student’s natural abilities into professional skills. The study outlines the main functions of a holistic teacher: diagnostics, forecasting, creating learning conditions, support and communication, correction and adaptation to new challenges. It is proven that the performance of these functions ensures not only high-quality sound, but also long-term voice health and the development of the student as a holistic creative personality.
