Prep checklist:
Separate Tipasa items from AFN items
Separate out & set aside:
Volume sets
Anything that isn't a book
For each Item, do the following:
Find paperwork
Confirm the information on the paperwork matches that of the item
Set aside items missing our paperwork
Make sure the item is in reasonably good condition
Bad condition: wet/moisture damage, so much writing inside that it’s distracting, cover or pages coming off/out
If item is in bad condition, give to a staff member
In Tipasa, Scan the request ID
If you see a "Multivolume" tag, check the staff notes to confirm all books have been returned together
Click Mark as received
Bring books to the circulation check in table
Media items go in the Media Return box outside McHenry
For each Item, do the following:
Check Item Barcode in both VDX and Tipasa
If only VDX ILL Number is available:
look up item in VDX, there will usually be an OCLC Number included with the request. Can also be found on most VDX paperwork.
In Tipasa, look for a warning banner at the top of the request page as well as an option to 'Edit-ISO.' These signs indicate the request was originated and can be subsequently handled in VDX. No further steps are required in Tipasa at this point.
Return to VDX and proceed to Check-In the Item. The system will update the OCLC record within a few minutes.
Follow Step 3 above.
