Log into Unity through a web browser and navigate to "Packages" > "Recurring Shipments"
Select "Shipping Group" > "UC"
Each location listed should have a corresponding UC shelf. For each shelf that has books on it, change "# of Pkg" from 0 to 1.
Once the number of packages has been specified, click "Ship" (next to ship date)
Print the labels using the printer "Zebra ZP 500 (ZPL)"
Each shelf should be packed into a single bin or bag
Prioritize using an institution specific bin or bag if available, e.g. UCLA bin for items shipped to UCLA
Decide if the shipment will fit into a bag or a bin before adhering a shipping label
Packing tips:
If packing a bin:
Ensure all books are stacked carefully inside the plastic rain bag
Only use the big zip ties
Cinch a zip tie on both sides of the bin
Adhere the shipping label over the old one
If packing a bag:
Every item needs to be inside a bubble mailer (multiple books can share a single bubble mailer)
Wrap all items in a rain bag before inserting into the bag
Prioritize using the small zip ties, making sure the zip tie encloses both the zipper and bag
Adhere the shipping label over the old one
Non Standard items:
Anything fragile like a dvd case, vinyl, old book, etc should be packed at the top of a bin
Don't be scared to use bubble wrap or bubble mailers to secure any item you are worried about
Stanford specific:
Do NOT adhere shipping labels to a Stanford bag
Instead, slip the whole label (with its backing still attached) into the front label holder
NRLF specific:
All items MUST be in a bubble mailer, even if packed in a bin
Place all bins and bags on a cart, wheel the cart to operations and leave with operations staff. If bringing down after 5pm (or Ops is closed) leave cart outside of Ops doors. Staff will bring the cart in in the morning.
Log into Unity through a web browser and navigate to "Packages" > "Recurring Shipments"
Select "Shipping Group" > "CSU"
Each location listed should have a corresponding CSU label on the CSU shelf. For each label that has books above it, change "# of Pkg" from 0 to 1.
Once the number of packages has been specified, click "Ship" (next to ship date)
Print the labels using the printer "Zebra ZP 500 (ZPL)"
Each CSU should be packed into a single bag
Prioritize using an institution specific bag if available, e.g. Cal State Fullerton bag for items shipped to Cal State Fullerton
Use a McHenry bag if an institution-specific bag is unavailable
For CSU specific bag with flip cards, you do not need to adhere a label, instead flip the shipping card around so it shows the home university's address
If using a McHenry bag, you will still need to adhere a shipping label to the front
Packing tips:
Every item needs to be inside a bubble mailer (multiple books can share a single bubble mailer)
Wrap all items in a rain bag before inserting into the bag
Prioritize using the small zip ties, making sure the zip tie encloses both the zipper and bag
