Essential Steps to Maximize Performance and Extend the Life of Your RFX MEAT™
Fully Immerse your RFX MEAT to protect the internal components:
Always ensure that the probe is fully inserted up to the immersion line.
This will protect the internal electronic components and prevent excessive heat exposure that will damage your RFX MEAT probe and void your warranty.
NOTE: Your food may change shape as you cook. If you notice that your food is contracting away from the immersion line, push your probe in until the immersion line is reached.
Clean your RFX MEAT for best charging performance:
Clean your probe thoroughly after every use. For proper charging, RFX MEAT probes should look “shiny” and clean after each use. Food particles, smoke residue, and polymerized oil can accumulate on the probe, discoloring them and forming a varnish that prevents proper charging, shortening battery life.
TIP: Use a mildly abrasive cleaning pad for regular cleaning. If the varnish is heavy and the probe resembles your grill grates, use Bar Keeper’s Friend with your abrasive pad to restore it.
