Definition: A document that accompanies each device tested in a calibration laboratory
Benefits (Why Bother?): This document provides evidence that the device in question has been tested and found to perform within its stated tolerance/specifications
Method (How to Do It): Calibration labs test instruments, report their findings, and then print those findings on a calibration certificate that is sent back to the customer to keep in their files

Questions to ask when you need a calibration:
How should the organization's name appear on the certificate?
Over what range do you measure?
What do you typically measure with this device?
Do you need the device tested at specific points?
Do you have a requirement for how often this should be recalibrated?
What do you use when this unit is in for calibration?
Were you aware that we can calibrate many instruments made by other manufacturers?
Do you need a system or a component calibration?
What is the model number?
Are you familiar with our calibration webpage?
Recommended Tools: Get an accredited calibration whenever possible as “traceable” calibrations do not have to meet any specific standards or requirements
