Clean Bathroom Floor

Bathroom floors can become very dirty during the stay of the guest. It is essential that this is kept cleaned and dry.

Various elements such as dirt, dust, hairsprays, soaps, and shampoos used by the guest can make the bathroom floor very dirty. Tiled floors look best when they are spotless. It takes little effort to soil them. Grime buildup on the tile grout can make the bathroom floor look dirty. Cleaning the bathroom floor not only makes it look good but is also good for the guest’s hygiene.

Steps in Cleaning the bathroom floor:

1. Remove everything that may be on the bathroom floor such as mats, trash cans, and small pieces of furniture

2. Sweep the floor to remove dirt, hair, dust, and other debris

3. Spray the cleaning solution over the entire floor.

4. Scrub the floor with a small medium-bristled brush

7. Rinse the floor and use a squeegee to push residual moisture to one area of the floor

8. Dry the floor using rags.

Replenishing Bathroom Amenities

It is important to replenish guest supplies in the bathroom.

Some of these supplies may include:

  • Toilet paper and sanitary bags

  • Facial Tissues

  • Hand towels, face towels, bathmat, bath towels

  • Shower cap

  • Shampoo

  • Conditioner

  • Moisturizer

  • Hand lotion

  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste

  • Combs

  • Hand / bath soap

  • Shaving kit

  • Sewing kits.

  • Emery board / Nail File

Different category of hotels have different supplies required to be included in the bathroom. The GRA must know what these supplies are.

Final Check of the Bathroom

Before the Room Attendant can leave the bathroom, a final check must be done noting the following points:

  • Bathroom looks clean and neat

  • Towels and supplies have been replenished

  • Toilet paper is well stocked

  • All appliances and equipment in the bathroom are working

  • All bathroom surfaces are clean and dry
