The 2025 Track season was fantastic. For most athletes, the season concluded with a busy and thrilling barrage of three meets over two days.
• Paige Ratliff - 800: 2:40.23
11" PR for Paige's first high school victory.
• Owen Fallon - 1600: 4:55.47
2.5" PR, that moves him up to 13th All Time at Summit
• Bodhi Adnan - 1600: 5:11.69
9" PR makes him the 13th fastest Freshman ever at Summit

7" PR advances Danny to 14th fastest Freshman
• James Sowers - 1600: 5:36.95
James wraps up his Summit running with a 31" PR in the mile!
St. Vrain is somewhat of a "distance festival", particularly the late night 1600s. Summit sent only distance runners to St. Vrain this year. It was worth the trip!
• Carter Niemkiewicz - 800: 2:03.78
Carter was our only entrant in the 800, and he delivered with a new PR.
4 girls and 6 boys raced in the 1600 and capitalized on great conditions for a slew of new PRs. The highlight has to be Jay almost running a State qualification time.
• Lily Benbow - 5:34.18
Just missed a new PR by a second
• Avery Eytel - 5:36.23
23" Season Best places Avery as the 7th fastest Summit senior ever.
• Ashley Adkins - 5:48.49
6" Season Best, just short of Miler's Club
• Cece Miner - 5:54.78
3" from her PR
• Josh Shriver - 4:15.86
An in-state season best that ranks Josh 10th in 4A for the season
• Jay McDonald - 4:20.77
2.5" PR that places Jay 19th in the season ending 4A rankings and makes Jay the fastest SHS Sophomore ever
• Carter Niemkiewicz - 4:38.57
2" PR that makes Carter the 3rd fastest Junior and 5th all classes at SHS
• Lukas Remeikis - 4:39.63
With a bit 4" PR, Lukas advances to 6th fastest overall at SHS and 4th Sophomore
• Cooper Levi - 4:44.18
Another big PR, this one 6", makes Cooper the 3rd fastest Freshman ever at SHS and the 7th fastest freshman in 4A.
• John McDonald - 4:45.37
5" PR raised John to 8th fastest Sophomore ever at Summit
The focus at Teddy's was our last chance to get relay teams to State. We went 3 for 4 in the distance/long-sprint relays. Despite the relay focus, there were still several new personal records:
• Ella Hagen: 800 - 2:16.08
.66" PR that ranks Ella 7th in 4A and 2nd fastest Senior ever at SHS.
• Avery Eytel: 800 - 2:26.19
.19" Season Best that places Avery 5th in the Summit Senior ranks.
• Ashley Adkins: 800 - 2:33.24
A 1" PR and huge 14" season best, that jumps from 13th to 7th on Sophomore rankings.
• Paige Ratliff: 1600 - 5:43.93
A huge 15" PR that earns Paige entry into the Summit Miler's Club and makes her the 13th fastest miler ever at SHS.
• Ashley Adkins: 1600 - 5:47.34
A further 1" improvement from the new season best the night before at St. Vrain, just missing Miler's Club status.
• Sophie Dinse: 1600 - 5:51.58
10" PR makes Sophie the 15th all classes and 9th Freshman miler.

1" PR makes Lukas 8th All Time and 5th fastest SHS Sophomore
• Cooper Levi: 800 - 2:09.05

Summit will have a strong distance contingent at the State Championship.
Josh and Ella qualified for and will race in all three individual distance events - the 800, 1600 and 3200.
The boys 4x800 (Josh, Jay, Carter and Lukas) and 4x400 (Jay, Carter, Connor and Quinn) relays qualified, as did the girls 4x400 (Ella, Faith, Ruby and Hailey).
Jay just missed qualifying for the 1600. His 4:20.77 at St. Vrain ranks him 19th in 4A, with the top 18 qualifying for State. His time was nearly a full 2 seconds faster than last years qualifying time! There is a slight chance Jay can run the 1600 at State. Someone in the top 18 must "non-declare." That is almost unheard of for the 1600, as it is the last individual distance event of the State meet.
The girls 4x800 also missed qualifying for State, despite running a time at Teddy's Last Chance that was a full 3 seconds faster than last year's qualifying time.
