MILLROSE!!
Was it the greatest Millrose Games ever? Maybe. Maybe it was. I need a little more time to process what I saw. What I do know is that I jumped off my couch a bunch of different times during the TV broadcast.
I’m not going to spoil the meet for you if you haven’t watched it yet but let me say this… it’s been DAYS since the meet ended! What are you waiting for?
Many of you probably watched that snoozefest of a Super Bowl. You would have been better served watching Millrose. With all due respect to the Big Football Game in New Orleans, the Big Track Meet in New York was the most exciting two hours of athletics all weekend.
Besides, it’s YOUR SPORT! Yes, it’s yours! If you run or jump or throw then it’s your sport. Indoor track is yours. Outdoor Track is yours. Trail Running is yours. Cross Country is yours. Road Racing is yours. It’s all yours. And if you want to get better at your sport then one surefire way to do that is to be a fan of it. So, get comfy and enjoy some of the races from the 2025 Millrose Games I’ve attached.
🚨🚨Small warning… the titles of the videos below give away results. Sorry.
Most desk jobs require sitting for 8+ hours a day, so 65+ million U.S. adults spend 8 or more hours sitting every day. This can lead to health issues like back pain, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, obesity, and premature death.
A 2020 study found that 30 to 40 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity daily could help offset the potential health issues that arise from so much sitting. Physical activity can offset the detrimental association between sedentary time and risk for death.
A 2023 study found that people who exercise for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise weekly (22 minutes daily) did not have an increased risk of death regardless of how long they sat during the day.
Put simply, it’s better to add physical activity to your day than to reduce all sedentary behavior.
