Artist Statement

In this piece of art, I present a Japan toy system named Gacha. It's similar to a vending machine, where if you put money in; it will give you what you want. Gacha is a vending machine that sells toys, however, different from traditional vending machines; you won't know which toy from the selection you are getting. Very similar to a blind box. I decided to draw this was because I didn't want to just draw a shoe out of a zoomed picture of a shoe; I wanted something that not many people would think of.

In this art, I used graphite pencil and ruler to sketch, sharpie to outline the boarder and lines, acrylic paint to add the colors, and a cap of a cylinder product to draw the circles. Specific color that I used was light blue, light pink, yellow, orange, red, and a little green.

To start off, I chosen a zoomed image from my sketch and sketched off on the blank paper. I also reminded my self to leave out a half inch boarder. Next, I outlined the lines with a sharpie to make the lines clear to me. After that, I chosen the color that I think would make a good combination. I first painted the big areas, such as the side and the bottom. Next, I decided to move on to the band up on the top; I carefully filled it in with red. Last, I added color to the middle are; including, the spheres, middle background, and the little detail toys that's in the sphere.
