Artist Statement

In this section, I built my art from a light source. The area that lacks light source are darker then the area that is fulfilled with light. This technique presents more of realistic are and are in an angle. It's the shading that are allowing the art to be more vivid and detailed.

In the piece called "Swim Swim", I used graphite pencil to start the sketch, and markers to do the colorings. Also, I used colored pencil to do some details on the package. This time, I left out the outlining because it would lessen the vivid and realistic feeling of the drawing; outlining the boarder and details would make the daring more strict looking.

In this piece of art, I began with the sketching of the candy off of a picture that I took. A picture of the candy "Swedish Fish" unpacked and laid out in the piece of drawing paper. However, the actual drawing was on a bristle board to prevent any leaking. After I finished the sketching, I began the colors. First off was the red, which means the name of the candy and the actual candy. Then, I went off with the different shades of blue. After that, I did the yellow, which took up most of the package color. Last was all of the details, those fish scale looking like orange curves; I did it with colored pencil just because it will look more thin in the lines.
