tonal square

the story behind this is we had to copy and shade a picture, which would contribute to a bigger picture.

it relates to my life because i had to do it in art class.

i used pencil, 2h pencil, hb pencil, b pencil, 2b pencil, 4b pencil, and 6b pencil.

i started by sketching the outlines of everything, then i shaded in all the lightest parts with 2h pencil, then the next shade darker with hb pencil, then the next shade darker with b pencil, then the next shade darker with 2b pencil, then the next shade darker with 4b pencil, then the next shade darker with 6b pencil.

my project evolved from nothing, to a sketched outline, to a fully shaded drawing.

i would like to erase the original pencil marks i made because they are kind dark but i can't, other than that are are no next steps.
