candy still life

the story behind the drawing is that we had to do a project drawing candy and their shadows. first we arranged the candy however we wanted, then we started drawing and shading. i ended up doing a background because the paper was kind of smudged. the project relates to my life because i chose what candy i wanted to draw, i arranged the candy how i wanted, and i drew the drawing.

the materials i used were hb pencil, 6h pencil, blue colored pencil, green colored pencil, dark green colored pencil, orange colored pencil, yellow colored pencil, brown colored pencil, light turquoise sharpie, dark turquoise sharpie, and a white pen.

the processes i used were looking at the candy and then drawing what i saw on the paper, i started with the outlines, and then i drew detail. then i shaded under the candy. then i colored all the candy. when i was done i shaded the candies. then i drew the background. the background didn't look like it went well with the shading, so i used colored pencils to try to take the background pattern into the shading, it came out decent. my project evolved to a piece of paper, to an outline of the candy, to a detailed drawing of the candy, to a colored drawing of the candy, to a fully shaded fully colored drawing of the candy, to all of that but with a background, and then to a complete drawing. i don't think there could be any next steps.
