space

In the negative space leaf project we took leaves and stuck them on a piece of paper, then we traced them, and then used that as a visual to help draw it on a bigger piece of paper. Then we colored it. I tried to go for a galaxy theme because I thought it looked like that a bit. It relates to my life because I organized the leaves in that pattern and I thought to color it like a galaxy.

The work was made with paper, leaves, transparent paper, sharpie, pencil, blue marker, black marker, purple marker, and violet marker.

The process was we picked leaves, then we glued them to a piece of paper, then we traced the outline with a sharpie on transparent paper, then we used the tracing to help draw the leaves on a bigger piece of paper. Then we colored. My project evolved from leaves on a piece of paper, to a tracing, to a sketch of the outline of the leaves on a bigger piece of paper, to a fully colored project. The next steps could maybe be trying to blend the blues and purples, and then I could flick some white paint on to resemble stars.
