Shoe, Self Portrait, Perspective

9x12

The ideas evident in my work is that I was trying to show my drawing skills by creating three completely different drawings, showcasing the different skills I can do. This project relates to my life because I borrowed a shoe from someone after school, not looking up a picture or using my own shoe. The self portrait was done in class, using a mirror and trying to replicate my face as best as possible. The perspective picture of a corner of the room was done in study hall right after class, in Mr. Berkemeyers room.

The materials I used to make this project was a HB pencil, as well as a 2B pencil for shading the shoe.

To create my work of art I started with the face, trying to draw the eyes then realizing that it wouldn't work, that I would have to draw the head first then draw lines for reference. For perspective, I started out by drawing the room first, then trying to draw to scale things that were in the room. For the shoe I was trying to find the right angle to draw it at, which was the hardest part about drawing the shoe. My project evolved by first creating the self portrait in class then the perspective drawing then the still image. My next step could be to shade the perspective drawing and add detail to the self portrait.
