Pure Contour

Leaves

For my space contour drawing the ideas evident in my work is that we were to create something that had at least five empty spaces in the contour drawing. The goal was to only see the outline of the leaves. This project relates to my life because the leaves were taken from nature, but only off of the ground so we weren't killing plants.

The materials I used to make this project was an HB pencil, leaves, glue, and red, orange and yellow watercolors.

To create my work of art we went outside as a class and we gathered leaves and acorns from off of the ground and we glued some of the things to paper. After that, we drew what we glued on a piece of paper and “extended” the drawing by painting it. My project evolved by trying to draw exactly what I saw on the paper with the leaves, but a larger version. My next step could be to paint the leaves with acrylic paint, to make my artwork look neater.
