Art History Inspired Project

For my art history inspired drawing the ideas evident in my work is that we had to create a work of art combining two major movements or artists. I had Gustav Klimt who was known for his decorative background and gold finishings and I chose Surrealism which was known for its illusions. I drew a decorative background and made the illusion of the artwork drawing itself.

The materials I used to make this project were a 6B, 4B, 2B, and an HB pencil, as well as a tortillon.

To create my work of art I created the grid and drew my artwork square by square using pencils. My project evolved by first drawing the background then drawing myself. My next step could be to add gold coloring to the background to be inspired by Gustav Klimt even more.
