Extended Line Contour
For my extended line contour drawing the ideas evident in my work is that we each had to draw three things without looking at the paper, then making something out of it. We had to draw our hand, our face, and the silhouette of another person. This project relates to my life because I chose to draw mountains with some trees and bushes, representing calmness and peace.
The materials I used to make this project was a sharpie and some colored pencils.
To create my work of art I wanted to look at my hand when I was drawing so bad but ended up not doing so and created something out of what I had when I didn't look. My project evolved by first thinking I had to use the face I drew on my paper. Instead, I looked at it from different angles and realized that I could make it into a landscape instead of having to use the face. My next step would be to step out of my comfort zone and try to color with oil pastels or to paint my drawing instead of using colored pencils.
