Realistic Self-Portrait

Realistic Self-Portrait

For my realistic self-portrait the ideas evident in my work is that we all drew a self-portrait of a picture that we took of ourselves. This project relates to my life because this was a picture of me laughing, reflecting my goofy or silly side.

The materials I used to make this project were an HB, 2B, 4B, and 6B pencils as well as a ruler.

To create my work of art I first gridded my picture and paper, then went through square by square and drew what I saw, resulting in a self-portrait. My project evolved by first drawing the picture of me, then going through and softening and blending the lines with a tortillon. My next step could be to add some creativity to the portrait instead of just drawing the original picture.
