Linoleum Prints

Artist Statement

The inspiration for my project was a boat on the ocean. I chose to do this because I like the ocean & wanted to include it in another one of my pieces.

The only materials I used for my project was a linoleum block & carving tools. 

I first sketched out what I was gonna carve on a piece of paper then went over it in 6b pencil so I could then transfer that onto my block. Once I transferred it with pencil I went over it in sharpie & started carving out the white space. After carving out what I thought would make a good print I rolled black ink onto it & lined up my paper to make the print. I made 4 prints all of which are shown above.
