Artist Statement

The main idea of my art work is an under the sea scene, I made the black ink stream into a sea horse, then added more elements like the mermaid to make the real under the sea theme

The first material I used was just a standard HB pencil that i drew everything with. Once I was happy with what I had I outlined everything in sharpie pen to keep the lines solid for when I went & colored with my markers. 

In the first step of creating this artwork the first thing I saw out of the ink was a sea horse, the dot at the bottom made the tail then the body shape all the way up till the funky nose. I also found an image on google for insperation of the seahorse along with the mermaid as well. Once I made the ink the middle of the sea horse I drew a smaller one to the left, thought it still needed soemthing big which is when I added the mermaid on the right. After I had my big 3 object I added sand lines, water lines, rocks, seaweed, coral, some island in the views of outside the water & a small fish at the bottom.
