Donate Life

The main idea that guided my artwork was the idea of organ & tissue donation. Making a piece of art is a good way to creatively spread the idea of considering organ & tissue donation which is what I was trying to get through this project. 

For this project it was different than my others, I used only pen, graphite, & marker which I have barely used in past projects. I used the graphite for the first sketching out of all the pieces & once I was happy with that I went over in with pen to get crisp clean lines. I had all my sections so I started coloring them solid colors I thought fit the scenario. After I went back in with my pen to go over the lines again because after using marky they didn't look as solid. 

The first thing I did to start my project was looking on pinterest for inspiration of a heart, but then I remembered I had this screenshot of a tattoo so I used that for reference while making my heart. I chose to use markers for this project because I wanted the colors to look very solid which I felt like color pencil wouldnt give me that satisfaction so I used marker to get what I wanted.
