Artist statement

The idea that guide this piece was needing to include 84 different colors, using the 3 primary colors, 3 secondary colors, then 6 tertiary colors. Once you made all those colors you then you added white & black to make the tints & shades which created the 84 colors. 

You could create any kind of artwork with these 84 colors so I decided to do an underwater scene involving different things like fish & coral. I decided to do this because I like the ocean & I wanted to do simple animals that could easily be incorporated like the fish. 

The only materials I used for this was acrylic paint on canvas paper. The first thing I did was color the sand then the water, once that dried I could add all the coral & fish.
