Zoomed Shoe

The main idea that guided my artwork was the zoomed shoe portion. Other than that I wanted to show the contrast between a dim city with polluted clouds, and the brightness and liveliness of nature. The landscape piece twists through the main road with adding a pop of color. My artwork is trying to represent that nature is beauty, and cities pollute it.

This artwork was made out of a graphite pencil, mainly 6b, sharpie, colored pencil, and watercolors.

My process to make this started with seeing examples in class. A saw a cityscape that inspired me to do this. I filled in the cityscape easily. When it came to the landscape part I was challenged. I thought about making different scenery blending into each other, different aspects of nature in one. I decided those were out of my time frame so I decided on a simpler pasture with a mountain and a flower field. That is how I made my artwork.
