Pure Contour

The main idea that inspired that these drawings was pure contour. This means that the is no sketchy lines. The lines are solid dark or light. There is also no shading or texture of patterns. This style was inspired for the hand, and three shoes. I was mostly going for realistic yet somewhat cartoony.

My materials for these drawing was graphite and drawing paper.

My process started with choosing what hand gesture to draw. I decided to do just a basic pose. Reflecting back I should've challenged myself, but I'm still pleased with the outcome. There wasn't much research in this drawing, except for the videos shown in art class. For the shoe drawing the process starting with choosing what shoe to draw. I chose my own. The rest was just drawing from real life.
