The main idea that guided this artwork was shading. This was true because we practiced shading with spheres so we could shade in candy. Another main idea that guided this artwork was deep colors, and realism. I tried to make the candy look somewhat realistic, and press hard on my colored pencils. To shade we had to make sure there is dark parts, medium tones, and light spots.
The material I used for this drawing were colored pencil, watercolors, white gel pen, and normal graphite pencils.
The art process for this drawing started with learning how to draw spheres. I did four of them with watercolor, colored pencil, marker, and mixed material. We watched videos to learn. This helped perpare me. When I started to draw my candy still life we looked at examples in class. I started with a sketch, then moved onto colored pencil, watercolor, and finally the white gel pen.
